Jessie & Bobby

One of the many beautiful aspects of Jessie and Bobby’s wedding was that it was our third time being with the two of them. Our first encounter was when they were guests at Denise & Jamie’s wedding, then again when they were guests at Vanessa & Cole’s wedding—now their own. We’d say that’s one of the most gratifying takeaways aside from the very obvious honor; creating lasting friendships and entering another level of familial with faces we’ve already shed tears with, laughed until we couldn’t breathe with, and shared enough martinis to set a record for. We have an ongoing joke that “we’ll see ya at the next one!” It makes sense that it feels like family, because that’s a pillar of the baseball community.

The Dalbecs opted for a 2 day NYE celebration. The ceremony, intimate at a boutique hotel in Paradise Valley, Arizona, and the reception, taking place at a private estate for New Years. We knew in advance it was the kind of party you dress to impress for—so it was no shock when guests showed up in Balenciaga, floor length fur, and avant-garde suit jackets. We came prepared.

Jessie stole the show in an old-Hollywood-glamour-era dress for her ceremony, and a sheer, dazzling backless gown from Flora for the party. Bobby wore velvet, and we all happened to show up wearing an evil-eye pin or necklace—the types of synchronicity you only hear about in folklore.
